I wonder how people will react to having their benefits stopped while all the BS jobs get cut. Probably a combination of violence and despair.

I'm happy to not have children but worried about people I know who have them.

last week i had a birthday---just another of too many.

yet it summed up our desire for consumption very neatly. How?

in the party balloons folks insisting on bestowing on me.

not wanting to be a party pooper, i refrained from pointing out the obvious.

that balloons are filled with helium, which is a finite element, and cannot be replicated, but we are using party balloons, as a symbol if you like, of our human lifestyle.

it has been a lifestyle of demanding ''more'' of everything. (I do not exclude myself from that condemnation)

i've been warning about this over a lot of birthdays
