The future is all about less no mater what anyone says or does less it is.
There are several ways less can happen;
We can let TPTB manage the transition as in "ve vill own everyting unt chu vill be appy"
We can ignore everything, continue on with BAU and let less continue to happen, slowly at first then all at once.
We the people can choose to manage it, making sure everyone is ok, retaining as much critical tech as is practical, educate everyone on the physical realities of life on a finite planet.
Or we can fight over every last bit eventually destroying everything and everyone.
Thats it folks. Thats all there is. What'll it be?
